Overdale Hospital at Westmount has short stay facilities available - self-referring service. Also flexible respite care service - emergency or planned, to suit individual clients' needs. Length of stay is from one day to three weeks. No charge. Contact Secker House, 623036

FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

Les Amis Age 18+

The Garden Flat Service offers weekend respite breaks to adults with physical disabilities and profound learning difficulties.

Respite Care Service offers regular breaks to clients and their families and if required, emergency care from one night up to several weeks.

FOR CHILDREN

Respite Care - the main aim of the respite service is provide support to families and parents of children with special needs. This is achieved by providing regular programmed care for children at Oakwell and Aviemore allowing a break for parents and others who care for dependent special needs children, twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. Whilst attending the respite homes the children benefit from structured play activity, physiotherapy and associated care techniques.
