What is Relate?

Relate is a national voluntary organisation with a charitable status. We work as counsellors and therapists with both couples and individuals, married, unmarried, gay and lesbian. We explore emotional and sexual difficulties arising at any time in the life of or the ending of relationships. Although we see people on their own, our distinctive focus is on the adult couple relationship.

First step - Initial Consultation - lasts for 45 minutes to an Hour.

On-going Counselling sessions– After the initial consultation clients interested in on-going counselling will be placed on a waiting list and allocated a suitable appointment when one becomes available. The sessions last for an hour and are normally once a week for a period of usually six weeks.

COSTS – the figures are less than half the normal charges for professional counselling.

Initial Consultation costs £55
