Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey

Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey provides high quality, up to date cancer information and support for cancer patients, their families and carers.  We offer a quiet, confidential and welcoming environment where people can either make an appointment or “drop in” and access our free services.

The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre is open weekdays 10am-4pm, 10am-7pm on Tuesdays.

Located at Suite 2.13, The Lido Medical Centre, St Saviour’s Road, just in front of the Hotel de France.  There is disabled access, free parking and serviced by the No 21 bus from Liberation Station.

Help so that people can live their lives in a more satisfying and resourceful way

We also offer a Prostate Cancer Support Group and a Gynae Cancer Support Group which meet monthly at The Willows Day Centre.   and on the last Thursday of every month we hold a coffee morning at our Cancer Information and Support Centre which are informal and offer an opportunity to find out more about what support is available to patients, their families and carers, also health and community care professionals.

Jersey Cancer Relief - To help those who are anxious about the financial cost of cancer.

Patients will be visited and assessed. Financial assistance is available when needed. The charity helps patients and their families with a variety of costs, including doctor's bills, medicines and dressings, heating bills, subscriptions to Family Nursing & Home Care and travel to the UK for treatment. In some cases this can include the cost of a relative travelling as support for the patient.

The Hospice provides specialist nursing care for patients with Cancer and Motor Neurone Disease, incorporating pain and symptom control, counselling, terminal care and family support. This package includes Home Care, Day Hospice, In-Patient Care and Bereavement Support. Funded entirely by the voluntary contributions and legacies.

Jersey Hospice Care have extended and improved their Bereavement Service and now feel able to offer this service to include the wider island community. See 8.45.16

Jersey Association of Cancer Nurses

An association for nurses who treat cancer patients to improve information, education and support for staff involved in treatment.
